June 27, 2011 - PRLog -- The 2011 Women In Green Forum (WIGF), taking place August 30-31 in Santa Monica, California, is reaching out to future generations of environmental leaders and opening its doors to students interested in pursuing green careers. As a part of the Forum’s mission to invest in a more environmentally conscious future, students will receive a discounted registration fee of $150. If students register before June 30th, they will receive the Early Bird rate, which includes an additional $25 off their ticket price and Lifetime Membership to the Forum.
The WIGF will bring together renowned female professionals from the sustainability field to highlight women’s impact on the environmental arena, promote sustainable products and emerging green companies, and provide opportunities for women to learn about careers in sustainability. The event will feature speakers from Fortune 500 companies, top government offices, leading academic institutions, and successful small businesses. It will also host an exhibit zone to highlight the latest green technologies and services and encourage networking among members of the sustainability community.
Attending the conference will familiarize students with real-world applications of their studies and allow them to get a head start on finding work in the environmental industry. At the green expo, students will have a chance to see how breakthroughs in environmental science and technologies are being utilized to create new and exciting sustainable products. As speakers share their experiences and expertise during educational sessions, students will learn about the actions they can take to promote sustainability and how to break into the environmental field. Finally, through networking breaks and lunches, students will receive the rare opportunity to personally connect with industry leaders and possible future employers to discuss the green movement and career field.
Promising to be the premier environmental education and networking event of the year, the 2011 WIGF is an event that students will not want to miss.
