June 14, 2011 - PRLog -- This morning, Jaime Nack, president of the environmental consulting firm Three Squares Inc. (TSI), delivered a presentation of “The New Event Standards for Green and Sustainable Events” alongside Michael Vargo, Director of Corporate Events for The Walt Disney Company, at the 2011 BizBash West Coast Expo Conference in Pasadena, California.
At the conference, Nack and Vargo spoke to an audience of meeting planners and suppliers about their experiences implementing green event standards across all types of event platforms. Together, they discussed the Convention Industry Council’s new sustainable event standards and provided insight about how to incorporate these standards into the planning and implementation of events. The session included case studies featuring Nack’s recent greening of the Inception movie premier and Vargo’s “Green Standard” for The Walt Disney Company.
Jaime Nack was chosen to speak at the expo because of her extensive experience with sustainable event planning and her role as President of the Southern California Chapter of the Green Meeting Industry Council. She and her team at TSI have worked to green the annual Women In Green Forum, 2011 Sustainable Meetings Conference, and many other high-profile events. In addition, Nack recently received a federal appointment to serve a three-year term on the National Women's Business Council and was named a 2011 Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
